Tapsi Upadhyay, a street food vendor based in New Delhi, is often seen on social media, renowned for being a young entrepreneur. Operating a street food chain that goes by the name of ‘B Tech Panipuri wali,’ the woman recently caught the attention of Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra.
Upadhyay, who hails from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, started selling panipuri on a cart.The young entrepreneur recently purchased the Mahindra Thar, one of the most beloved SUVs in India and in the video shared by the Mahindra Chairman, she can be seen towing her cart using the off-road machine. In the video, she highlights that her journey started from towing the cart with a scooter before switching to a bullet motorcycle. However, now she has come a long way and owns a Thar, which can be seen pulling the panipuri cart with absolute ease.
The video shared by a food blogger recently went viral on social media and caught the attention of Mahindra, who took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account to creatively post about the off-road vehicle’s connection with people’s dreams.

Impressed by the video, Mahindra wrote “What are off-road vehicles meant to do? Help people go places they haven’t been able to before..Help people explore the impossible.. And in particular we want OUR cars to help people Rise & live their dreams..Now you know why I love this video.”
Speaking of the Thar, the model commands a long waiting period of over six-seven months. The manufacturer further expanded the SUV lineup by introducing the 2WD variant of the SUV to make it more accessible in the Indian market. In other developments, the 5-door Thar is expected to soon make its debut in India and the spy shots of the model being tested in India have already surfaced multiple times.
