Princess Beatrice looked chic as she stepped out to attend Poppy Delevingne’s Valentine’s lunch at The Ivy Chelsea Garden in London on Thursday.
The 35-year-old went for the ‘granny chic’ look as she mixed high-end with high-street brands.
Sarah Ferguson’s daughter donned Zara’s soft knot vest in grey (£22.99) which she paired with a crisp white shirt by London-based brand ME+EM (£232).
She completed the outfit with Zara’s wool blend midi skirt in grey (£109) and her favourite black Jordaan velvet loafers by Gucci (£720) which she’s previously worn on several occasions, and black tights.
But royal fans were divided over her style choice with some branding it a school uniform, whilst others loved it and compared it to a very similar outfit the Princess of Wales has worn before.
One user on Instagram wrote: “I have the pullover and it’s super cute and now I have a new look too! Thank you to the princess!”
Another one said: “I love this. She does that preppy collared look well.”
A third one commented: “This is a lovely put-together outfit”
However, others were not big fans of Beatrice’s outfit.
One user added on the same post: “She looks like she’s going to school. It is a no from me.” while another one wrote: “This feels a bit school marm to me”.
A third one opined: “She looks very nice in this outfit. But, it gives me teacher vibes instead of a Valentine’s Day luncheon.” a fourth one added: “I think it’s the skirt that’s making this a miss for me. And all the grey doesn’t help because it washes her out.”
A fifth one said: “Not her best colours, unfortunately.”
