CBS7 FIRST ALERT Forecast for Tuesday, February 6th, 2024

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – CBS7 FIRST ALERT Forecast for Tuesday, February 6th, 2024: Today will be a quiet, but relatively cloudy day across the area. Another system is set to bring some breezy conditions that should last from Wednesday to Saturday.

An upper-level ridge will begin to leave West Texas on Tuesday, making way for a trough from the west that will lead to breezy conditions for the last half of the week. Until then, cloud coverage is expected to increase ahead of an upper-level system that will arrive Wednesday. The high clouds will keep temperatures from dropping too much overnight, settling into the mid-30s to low-40s. Southeasterly winds will allow temperatures to warm above average, into the 60s and 70s. Those of us in Midland/Odessa are looking to see a high of 65°F, under partly to mostly cloudy skies and southeasterly winds coming in between 10 and 20 mph.

By midweek, a frontal system will cause winds to pick up a bit, but not have much of an impact on temperatures. This system brings in very slight rain chances. Breezy afternoons are expected from Wednesday to Saturday. A Pacific front should roll in Saturday night, bringing more rain chances and cooling us off a little. By the time we get to Valentine’s Day, things are looking to be quiet and mild.
