The Ather Rizta is touted as a ‘family scooter,’ featuring a larger design compared to its stablemates.From what we know so far from the teasers and testing mules that have been spotted multiple times, the Rizta is not like the performance-oriented, sporty Ather 450 series.
Instead, it’s made for families, with a focus on comfort and practicality; something scooters have been known for in the Indian market. Speaking of practicality, the company claims that the scooter will get the largest seat in the segment, pictures of which were also shared by company CEO Tarun Mehta recently.

Ather Rizta: Expected powertrain and features
Although exact details haven’t been revealed yet, it is expected that the Rizta will borrow some features from Ather’s current lineup. This may include a fully digital instrument panel, featuring touchscreen capabilities and smartphone connectivity. It’s also expected to offer features like different ride modes, quick charging, and navigation assistance.
The Rizta could offer improved range and performance compared to other Ather models, possibly because of a new battery and motor configuration. However, it’s important to note that there’s been no official confirmation from the company regarding these details yet.
The Ather Community Day event on April 6th will officially unveil the Rizta, providing a clearer picture of its specifications, features, and design. With this launch, the manufacturer will aim to further its presence in the Indian market, where it has been recording impressive sales numbers lately.
