BMW iX xDrive50 launched at Rs 1.40 crore: 523 hp with 635 Km range

BMW India today announced the launch of the BMW iX xDrive50 electric SUV. The new iX xDrive50 is priced at Rs 1.4 crores (ex-showroom) and will be bought in India via Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU). Interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership, the EV is available at all BMW dealerships across India.
The new BMW iX xDrive50 gets a bigger battery pack and more power compared to the iX xDrive which is priced at Rs 1.21 crores (ex-showroom).The xDrive50 also gets minor exterior and interior changes with additional features.

Talking about the powertrain and battery, the new iX xDrive50 is powered by a larger 111.5kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors – placed one on each axle which puts out a combined 523hp of power and 765Nm of torque. It also gets AWD and BMW claims the EV SUV can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 4.6 seconds. The large 111.5 kWh battery can be charged from 10-80 per cent in about 35 minutes with a 195kW DC charger and in 97 minutes with a 50kW DC charger. Using a 22kW AC charger it takes around 5.5 hours and around 11 hours with an 11kW AC charger.

The iX xDrive50 and xDrive40 look very similar and get nearly identical sets of features and safety kits. Additionally, the xDrive50 gets new 22-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels and adaptive suspension. Interested customers can opt for BMW ‘Laserlight’ and Titanium Bronze exterior finish and active seat ventilation as optional extras.

Features include a freestanding 14.9-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital infotainment screen, head-up display, 18-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, surround-view camera and much more. BMW is offering the standard two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. The batteries get a year warranty or 1,60,000 kilometres.
