Vizag: It was a ball for the ages that veteran Ishant Sharma came up with on Wednesday to clean bowl Andre Russell with a perfect yorker. The ball was so good that Russell had to answer for it as it had him on the floor. He was flat on the pitch. Then he got up and applauded the delivery from Ishant. This happened in the final over of the innings versus Delhi Capitals. Russell’s 19-ball 41 was good as he provided the finishing kick for the Knights to reach a mammoth 272 for seven in 20 overs.
Here is the delivery everyone is talking about.

Without a doubt, it would be among the best deliveries of the season. Not every delivery can get past the defence of Russell in such a destructive mood.
Ahead of the game, Kolkata’s Russell, Rinku Singh and Sunil Narine were seen polishing their hitting skills in one of the side nets at Vizag. Sure all that practice came to good use during the match. Sunil Narine hit a career-best 85 off 39 balls, while Rinku, who came in with three overs to spare – hit a breathtaking eight-ball 26 cameo.
The match has registered 18 sixes in the innings which is a record. The Knights have gone past Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 16 sixes.
Now, it looks impossible from here for the Capitals. For them to give KKR a scare, they need to get off to a good start.
