New Delhi: Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan slams Indian selectors for not selecting Ravi Bishnoi in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. Bishnoi is currently holding the 6th rank in ICC T20I rankings.

Jasprit Bumrah will lead India’s bowling attack, and Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh are India’s other pace options. Arshdeep is the only left-arm pacer. Without Mohammed Shami, Siraj will open the bowling attack for India.

Irfran Pathan shared a post on his ‘X’ formerly known as twitter to question BCCI for not selection Bishnoi in the squad.

However, IPL’s highest wickettaker Yuzvendra Chahal made a comeback in squad as he missed the ODI World Cup which was played in India in 2023.  Apart from Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav are the other spinners who are the part of Indian squad.

Apart from Bishnoi, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and experienced wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul has also missed the spot in India’s squad for the marquee event which will be played in USA and West Indies.

It is to be noted that this squad is subject to change till May 25 in case any injury occurs to any of the selected players. Rohit and Agarkar will address a press conference on May 2 at 4 PM IST at BCCI Headquarters in Mumbai.
