Port Adelaide may have just sent disgraced star Jeremy Finlayson a subtle message.
Finlayson is available for selection for Thursday night’s AFL blockbuster against Adelaide after serving a three-game ban for making a vile slur towards an opponent in the Round 4 match against Essendon.

An umpire’s microphone picked up the insult, which was heard by multiple players, and at least one Bombers player also called it out.
The versatile big man has since apologised and his suspension is over, but Port have chosen to overlook him for the important encounter at Adelaide Oval.
Up until then, Finlayson had been named for every game this year.
Port Adelaide did name emerging superstar Connor Rozee for the Showdown, despite their young captain suffering a hamstring scare during the clash against St Kilda last Friday.
The Power have also lost Aliir Aliir (concussion) and Sam Powell-Pepper (the latter for the season with an ACL), but they have been replaced by defender Ryan Burton and Jed McEntee.
The Crows have named Jordon Butts and veteran defender Brodie Smith for the game, as well as handing the exciting Daniel Curtin a debut.
Curtin is the No.8 pick from last year’s draft and his debut has been highly anticipated after impressing in the pre-season.
Luke Pedlar will miss the Showdown with a shoulder injury and coach Matthew Nicks has axed Will Hamill and James Borlase.
