Neena Gupta talked candidly about parenthood and offered her daughter Masaba, who is ready to have her first child, some wise counsel on Mother’s Day. The veteran actress revealed that her experience as a mother has been amazing despite all the obstacles, and she would recommend it to any other woman who aspires to have children.
Masaba sent Neena a video, in which the latter talked candidly about the same subject.Masaba was overheard asking her for advice on motherhood to her and other Moms. She said, “It’s not a very big deal. Having kids is easy. Bas bhagwan pe bharosa rakho, sab smoothly ho jaata hai. Jaisi ku tum Jaanti ho, I had only 2000 bucks when you were born, and I was in this profession. Haan Mujhe tension thi, lekin sab ho jaata hai. Mere pass nanny rakhne ke liye bhi paise nahi the, bhagwan ji ne Meri bua ko bhej diya. Aapko toh mehnat toh karni padegi, but don’t get tensed about it, bachhe pal jaate hai. Aapko thodi extra mehnat karni padti hai, but it is worth it.”
Masaba disclosed that her mother had just Rs 2000 in her account at the time Neena’s autobiography, ‘Sach Kahu Toh’, was released. “When I was born, my mum had Rs 2000/- in her bank account. A timely tax reimbursement would bump that number up to Rs 12,000/- and ofcourse I was a C-section baby. As I read mom’s biography I learnt so many things & the hardships she has had to endure. I work very hard every single day of my life & never ever let anyone not give me what I deserve only to make sure I can pay her back for bringing me into this world…..with interest!” she shared.
Masaba was raised by Neena as a single mother. She didn’t find true love until 2008 when she tied the knot with Vivek Mehra. Masaba announced her pregnancy earlier this year.
