Adelaide forces AFL glamour couple Ivan Soldo and Chelsea Becirevic apart

It appears there will be no wedding bells in the City of Churches for Chelsea Becirevic and her AFL boyfriend Ivan Soldo.

The glamorous influencer has revealed she is heading overseas to chase her dream job after finding it a “struggle” to live in Adelaide.

Soldo left Richmond at the end of last year and moved to South Australia to continue is AFL journey with Port Adelaide.

Becirevic, 23, followed the ruckman across the border but admitted she didn’t know what to expect.

“I’ve never even been to Adelaide before so I actually have no idea what to expect … and I hear so many mixed reviews,” she said at the time.

“It’s not forever, but who knows I could end up loving it. Excited for a new chapter and to meet some new people.”

Well, it appears that wasn‘t the case.

We’re not even half way through the season and Becirevic has told her 65,000 followers that she is blowing up her life after just seven months in the City of Churches.

“(I’ve) always wanted to work for Emirates, live in Dubai and travel the world. So that’s exactly what I’m gonna do,” she said.

“Doing this one solo.

“Never moved anywhere by myself so will be good to gain some independence.

“I’ve always wanted to move overseas, so I think it’ll be an exciting new chapter for me.”

However, Becirevic said she would attempt to continue to stay in a relationship with Soldo, albeit a long-distance one.

“He had to move to Adelaide for his career and tbh it’s been a struggle for me,” she said.

“It’s (Adelaide) just not for me permanently.

“Temporarily it’s fine. But long term in Aus I think Melbourne or Gold Coast are for me … maybe even Sydney.”

Asked how Soldo was taking the news, Becirevic posted a picture of his standing in the corner of a lift.

“Yeah, surprisingly taking it really well,” she said.

Soldo is currently out of Port Adelaide’s team after he damaged his lateral meniscus in his right knee.

It was an old knee injury that flared again and required arthroscopic surgery.

Up until then Soldo had been impressing at his new club, averaging 29 hitouts in his first six outings.

Midway through 2020 Soldo ruptured both his anterior cruciate ligament and medial ligament and spent a year out of the game.

After his latest injury, Port coach Ken Hinkley said: “We’ve made an assertive, an aggressive, decision to make sure we take care of that right now.

“He will have a little procedure and miss a little period of time.”
