With temperatures reaching record highs and many parts of the country experiencing power cuts, staying cool can be a challenge. In the viral video that has been going viral on social media, the man has found a unique way to cool down – a makeshift shower on his Honda Activa scooter!
The man’s ‘jugaad,’ a popular Hindi term for an improvised or innovative solution, has captured the attention of netizens.Uploaded on Instagram, the video quickly amassed over 24 million views, 1 million shares, and nearly 1 million likes. In the video, the man installs a makeshift shower on his scooter, attached to a 20-litre water container. As he rides through the city’s busy streets, water continuously pours on his head, providing relief from the scorching heat. Passersby and other motorists watch in anticipation and amusement as he travels across the city.

While the makeshift shower might offer temporary relief, it’s important to note that this isn’t a practical solution. The rider isn’t wearing a helmet, which is risky and a punishable offence under the Motor Vehicle Act 1998.
Staying hydrated and covering yourself to avoid direct sunlight are more effective ways to combat the heat. Additionally, it’s advisable to avoid traveling during peak heatwave hours to prevent health issues like heat strokes. Nevertheless, this ‘jugaad; serves as a reminder that navigating India’s unique challenges is not for the beginners!
