Monday night, Kendall Jenner and FWRD hosted a dazzling rooftop celebration to kick off Haute Couture Week. At La Suite Girafe, the supermodel-cum-creative director- cum liquor entrepreneur gathered a group of friends. The magnificent space, designed by the renowned Joseph Dirand, offers an almost surreal view of the Eiffel Tower. Illuminated by the landmark’s glow, guests drank 818 cocktails and discussed the previous evening’s main event: Vogue World: Paris, in which Jenner rode a horse beside fellow model Gigi Hadid around the Place Vendôme. Of course, the many shows in the coming days were also on everyone’s lips.
In the crowded market of luxury retailers, FWRD stands out for its avant-garde, sexy curation of clothes by both established houses and emerging designers. Since becoming Creative Director in September 2021, Jenner, who sets trends every time she leaves the house, has brought the perfect sensibility to a shop for those who want to stand out.
The party was populated by creatives of all types. Designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin—responsible for the aptly named “Halter Kendall” dress as well as many other looks worn by Jenner—came to show his support. Multi-hyphenate performer Teyana Taylor, in a blonde bob and a black leather skirt, oozed old Hollywood glamor. Socialite Fai Khadra and hair entrepreneur Chris Appleton both had their hair buzzed short and bleached.
Music by Kitty Cash kept the energy soaring throughout the night. The beautiful crowd and beautiful vista combined to create a surreal, giddy atmosphere that only the best hostesses can achieve.
