In the picture shared by Kangana, she called Smriti, “very young, dainty, and exceptionally beautiful.Smriti is seen receiving the gallantry award in a picture shared by the actress. Kangana reflected on the profound sorrow of witnessing such moments, stating, “Many soldiers who gave their life for the nation were awarded yesterday, people are in tears to see the very young dainty, and exceptionally beautiful widow of officer Anshuman Singh from Purvanchal.”

Kangana described Smriti as still deeply in love with her late husband, expressing her emotional statement that she would endure a painful death with “brass in her chest.”
Highlighting the complexities of love, Kangana mused, “Love is not easy, the paradox is nothing is more cruel than love,” capturing the deep emotions.
On Friday (July 5), President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Kirti Chakra posthumously upon Captain Anshuman Singh for his courageous actions during a fire incident that saved the lives of fellow army personnel.
