This team is also participating in the current T20I series against South Africa in Chennai. Smriti Mandhana, known for her exceptional performance in the ongoing series with South Africa, will serve as the vice-captain of the team.
Despite India’s initial setback in the three-match series against South Africa, where they faced a 12-run defeat in the first match, the team is preparing for their next encounter on Sunday.
The squad for the Asia Cup includes the main 15 players, with an additional four members – Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh – selected as travelling reserves.
