Alia Bhatt, a beloved figure in Bollywood, has taken on a new role as an author, venturing into the world of children’s literature. Recently, she launched her first children’s picture book under her kids’ wear brand, Ed-a-Mamma. Titled ‘Ed Finds A Home,’ this book marks the beginning of what she envisions as an entire series aimed at young readers. Alia’s passion for storytelling has not only brought joy to her fans but also extended her influence to inspire and educate children.
In a heartfelt gesture, Alia gifted a copy of her debut book to Izhaan Mirza, the son of tennis star Sania Mirza.Along with the book, Alia penned a touching letter to Izhaan, introducing him to the story’s main characters and sharing her personal connection to storytelling.
In the letter, Alia wrote, “Dear Izhaan, I want you to meet Ed-a-Mamma – a little girl and her dog, off on a bunch of super exciting adventures. Just like you, they are Children of Mother Earth and are on a mission to protect her from harm. When I was growing up, I loved listening to my grandpa’s stories.”
She continued, “And now here I am, sharing stories of my own, for all mini-planeteers. I hope that this first story brings you as much joy as it has brought me and inspires you to be kind to every kind. Let the Ed-ventures begin! Love, Alia.”

The launch event for Alia Bhatt’s debut children’s book, ‘Ed Finds A Home,’ was a heartwarming affair held in Mumbai. Accompanied by her mother, Soni Razdan, and sister, Shaheen Bhatt, Alia was surrounded by her most significant supporters.
Post the reading session, Alia took the time to interact with the children, gathering their feedback and listening to their thoughts about the book. Her approachable and friendly demeanor endeared her even more to the attendees, making the event a huge success.
