Police are warning that a wanted 47-year-old Saskatchewan man may be in the GTA and is believed to have access to firearms and other weapons.

The Peel Regional Police intimate partner violence unit issued the alert on Sunday afternoon, saying that Jagmohanjit Jheety is wanted on a nationwide warrant for several offences.
“Detectives have reason to believe that Jagmohanjit is in the Region of Peel and may have access to firearms and other weapons,” police said in a news release.

Jheety is wanted for criminal harassment, harassing communications, uttering death threats and failing to comply with a release order, police said. He is also facing additional charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
Police said Jheety should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him and instead call 911 if he is seen, they added.
“Jagmohanjit Jheety is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the police,” the release said.
