Actress Bhumi Pednekar has always unabashedly embrace her body, even when the trollers attacked her for gaining 32 kgs for her debut movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha. She portrayed the character of an overweight newly-wed wife. However, after the successful completion of her film’s shooting, the actress began her fitness journey, which left many people jaw-dropped. Well, Bhumi didn’t follow any extreme diets and managed to lose weight without starving herself. Here’s the diet and fitness tips that took Bhumi from 89 kg to 57kg in 4 months.
Bhumi Pednekar’s Weight Loss Diet Plan
Bhumi is a self-proclaimed foodie and she never denied herself her favourite foods or went without eating for long. She eliminated fast food from her diet and instead replaced it with healthier home-cooked versions. She kept her portion sizes in check and developed a diet plan including food items such as eggs, missi roti, upma, poha, grilled chicken, multi-grain rotis and rajgira. In an interview, she revealed that she never used to skip breakfasts and used to start her day with a glass of hot water first.
Apart from this, she used to take muesli in the morning along with skimmed milk. For lunch, she prefered only home cooked food. She regularly included pulses in her diet. She loved to have fruits, almonds or walnuts in her evening snacks along with a cup of green tea. She tried to have her dinner by 8:30 pm. She included grilled fish, chicken, paneer, tofu and boiled vegetables in her dinner meal.
Bhumi Pednekar’s Workout Regime
Bhumi did not went with high-intensity exercises in one go. Instead, she began with a variety of workouts from running, working on machines, functional training, swimming and dance aerobics. Even after weight loss, she tries to be consistent with her workout and follow a combination of cardio, weight lifting, pilates and stretching to stay fit.
One thing that Thank You for Coming actress completely said no to was sugar. In an interview, she revealed, when starting her weight loss journey, she cut down meetha that helped her lose weight quickly. Moreover, Bhumi also avoided carbs at night. Also, she made sure to consume at least 6-7 litres of water everyday and experimented with different detox drink recipes.
