This TikTok Duo Are Your New Shopping Besties

Is there a hobby more fun than window shopping? Sure, you might not be able to afford that $10,000 Chanel or Prada jacket—but you can try it on, and pretend like you’re a fabulous lady who lunches. That’s the fun of fashion! And on TikTok, there are two fashion enthusiasts who are bringing their followers along for the try-on fun: Meet Jasmina and David.

On the TikTok account @JasminaTV, friends Jasmina and David film videos a few times a week in a variety of different hotspots—from vintage stores in L.A., to exclusive Schiaparelli boutiques. Along the way, the pair find joy in capturing some of the most unique and chic items on the market. “We want to spread the message that luxury fashion is not intimidating—it’s fun and should be inclusive,” says Jasmina. “Shopping is a lifestyle to me, I’m browsing 24/7, 365 days [a year]. I say I stay shopping so I don’t need to go shopping.”

Jasmina and David met while both working as designers in Los Angeles. “We both designed for the same brand—I designed the women’s collection, and David designed the men’s,” says Jasmina. The two clicked instantly. “I am a Pisces and he’s a Gemini, so need I say more?,” says Jasmina. “We are so alike: We are fashion-obsessed, but we also have different perspectives, and that helps make us a fabulous duo.”

As their friendship blossomed, the pair decided to post fashion content together on social media around four years ago—first on YouTube, and then on Instagram and TikTok. “We began sharing shopping that is usually off-limits for regular folks,” says Jasmina. “Private boutiques, archival showrooms that are for stylists only—it was our goal to showcase that, as well as the other high-end shopping.” Their content stuck a chord. JasminaTV now has over 100,000 followers on TikTok alone, and their fans take great delight in seeing which rare treasures the pair will discover next.

Recently, Jasmina and David paid a visit to the vintager treasures at Recess LA, where they found leopard print galore. “Dr. Seuss, who?,” David quipped as Jasmina tried on a tall chapeau. There’s no piece too avant-garde for the duo to try on—like the Jean-Charles de Castelbajac teddy coat Jasmina recently rocked. Often, so much perusing leads to the friends making purchases—though they try to window-shop as much as possible. “I guess it’s a hazard of this line of work,” says Jasmina. “Recently at What Goes Around Comes Around, I said yes to a gorgeous white western Versace shirt from the closet of André Leon Talley!”
