During an interview with SiriusXM’s Town Hall, Reynolds humorously addressed the situation. He reassured fans that there was no “bad blood” between him and Swift following the use of her cats’ pictures in the film. In ‘Deadpool 2’, Reynolds’ character, Wade, is seen wearing a T-shirt adorned with images of Swift’s beloved cats, Meredith and Olivia. This subtle yet amusing detail added to the film’s charm and humor. Reynolds recounted, “Yes, I had a T-shirt made. Yes, of [Swift’s cats] Meredith and Olivia on Wade’s shirt. Yeah, you know, just little details, that’s all,” he told People Magazine.

When asked if he had sought Swift’s permission for using the images, Reynolds responded with his trademark humor, “No, I was sued. I lost everything in that one.” He elaborated, “And getting sued by a friend is tough to swallow. Also, she has just a lot of very, very powerful lawyers. I found out later those are just the paralegals. The real lawyers didn’t even bother with it.” Despite the tongue-in-cheek nature of his comments, it’s clear that there’s no real animosity between the two stars.
