Hyundai Motor India recently launched the Hyundai Exter CNG with dual-cylinder technology. This new model is called Hy-CNG Duo and gets two small CNG cylinders which saves space instead of one large unit. Similar to what we’ve seen with the Punch and Altroz CNG. The Exter Hy-CNG is available in three variants – S, SX and SX Knight editions priced from Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

In this article, let’s take a look at the on-road prices of the Hyundai Exter CNG in the top cities of India.Let’s start with Bengaluru, the on-road price for the top-of-the-line SX Knight CNG of the Hyundai Exter is Rs 11.35 lakh. In Delhi the CNG micro SUV costs 10.52, in Mumbai it costs Rs 10.53 lakh, in Chennai it costs Rs 11.05 lakh, in Hyderabad the Exter costs Rs 11.18 lakh, in Kolkata it costs 10.37 lakh, in Lucknow it costs 10.60 lakh, in Jaipur the SUV costs 10.94 lakh, in Ahmedabad the micro SUV costs 10.53 lakh and in Indore, the SUV costs 10.66 lakh (All prices mentioned here are on-road, please note that the prices are gathered from local dealers and prices might vary a little).
The Exter is the first Hyundai model to get dual-cylinder tech and it will soon be followed by the Grand i10 Nios and Aura sedan. The Exter Hy-CNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. The engine puts out 69hp of power and 95.2Nm of torque and comes paired only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The micro SUV has a tank capacity of 60 litres and has 27.1km/kg efficiency as per ARAI. Alongside, the dual-cylinder variant customers can also choose the single-tank variant which is priced at Rs 7000 less.

In terms of features, the Exter Hy-CNG gets LED DRLs, LED taillights, single pane electric sunroof, automatic climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and more. Safety-wise, it gets six airbags, TPMS, ESC, hill start assist and it also gets an integrated control unit for smooth shifting between petrol and CNG.
