Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant‘s extravagant wedding was highly discussed, particularly for its international celebrity guest list. Among the notable attendees was Lalita D Silva, Anant Ambani’s childhood nurse. Though not a celebrity, she shared a close bond with the Ambani family, receiving much affection from Anant, Akash, and Shloka.
In an interview with Hindi Rush, Lalita shared that she was introduced to the Ambani family through a friend of Mukesh Ambani.She recounted how she visited the Ambani residence in 1996 and was warmly received. Lalita explained that she views Anant Ambani, whom she considers her first child, not as a privileged child but with the same care and affection she shows all children. She emphasized that while she has been strict with them, it has always been with a motherly love, and that the parents, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, treated her with normalcy and respect.

Lalita shared that Anant Ambani continues to be warm and affectionate towards her. She mentioned that if she encounters him at a crowded place, like Siddhivinayak Temple, he always makes a point to greet her with a hug. Despite the crowd, Anant responds to her calling his name and ensures they connect, reflecting the enduring bond they share.

She reminisced about Anant Ambani’s childhood, noting that he wasn’t interested in material gifts but instead asked his parents for money to buy and care for animals. She described him as a lifelong animal lover and admitted feeling nostalgic when recalling their time together, saying she has spent more time with him than with her own son. Lalita also mentioned that she gets emotional discussing Anant’s wedding and feels honored by the extra affection she receives from the Ambani family, having been invited to all their weddings, including those of Akash and Shloka.

D Silva shared her joy over Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, highlighting the family’s happiness. She recalled that after the wedding, Mukesh Ambani excitedly told her, “Lata, your baba is married.” Lalita expressed her thrill and described the moment as priceless when she met Anant at his wedding.
