‘Bad Newz’ box office collection Day 9: Vicky Kaushal starrer crosses Rs 50 crore mark |

‘Bad Newz‘, starring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri continued its impressive run at the box office on its ninth day, finally crossing the Rs 50 crore mark.
The film has been managing to maintain its grip over the box office on its second weekend, despite the release of the big-budget Marvel superhero movie ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘ that sees Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman return with their iconic characters.Despite the stiff competition with the new release, the film managed to earn an estimated Rs 2.15 crore on Friday. It saw minimal growth on Saturday, with collections hitting an estimated Rs 3.25 crore nett.
After a strong first week, with collections reported to be around Rs 42.85 crore net, the total India net collection for “Bad Newz” now stands at Rs 48.25 crore nett.The film’s gross collections, however, pushed the overall collections to an estimated Rs 53.5 crore.
According to box office numbers, the Hollywood release has taken a bite out of the Indian box office, earning a whopping Rs 45-48 crore gross in just 2 days, according to early estimates.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, ‘Bad Newz’, was released on July 19. The film’s plot revolves around Dimri’s character Saloni Bagga, who has the rare medical condition of heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive process in which twins are born to the same mother but from different biological fathers.
