Vedaa advance booking: John Abraham starrer sells over 24000 tickets

After the success of Pathaan, John Abraham returns in Vedaa, this time as a court-martialed Army Officer aiding Sharvari’s character in her fight against a repressive system. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film releases on 15th August, clashing with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein.Vedaa faced headlines recently due to censor issues, with over 9 minutes of content being cut by the revising committee.
The film has till now sold over 24000 tickets amassing a total collection of nearly Rs 58.90 lakh from its 3700 shows, with Maharashtra and Delhi circuit leading the advance booking.
Vedaa is marginally behind Khel Khel Mein, which has collected about Rs 59.50 lakh in its advance sales, and way behind Stree 2 which is nearly Rs 11.80 crore worth Advance Booking. When advance booking began, Vedaa was ahead of Khel Khel Mein but now things have reversed.
After Vedaa, Sharvari is set to appear in Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor. This film marks the newest entry in Aditya Chopra’s expanding spy universe. Meanwhile, John Abraham’s next project will be Tehran, co-starring Manushi Chhillar.
