AOI Announces Quick Release System Mount Bases for DJI Osmo Action 3/4 and Insta360 Ace/Ace Pro
Following the release of their Quick Release System (QRS) Mount Base for GoPro, AOI has unveiled two similar products designed for competing action cameras: the QRS-02-MB3 for DJI Osmo Action 3/4 and the QRS-02-MB4 for Insta360 Ace/Ace Pro. Like the GoPo version, the mount bases are compatible with AOI’s UWL-03 wide-angle lens and UCL-03 close-up lens, which are specially designed for use with action cameras and smartphones.
Made from glass filled polycarbonate material, the QRS Mount Bases ship with pistol grips and are available in black or white. Consult your local retailer, such as Backscatter, for pricing and availability.

Action Camera Users Rejoice!
Action cameras have gained immense popularity in recent years, and innovations have made them a favorite among underwater enthusiasts. However, these cameras, primarily designed for land use, face some limitations underwater due to the laws of physics.
Some of these limitations include a narrower field of view caused by refraction, optical distortions such as barrel or pincushion effects, and reduced clarity due to the inherent focal lengths of action cameras combined with the density of water.
To address these challenges, we introduced the AOI UWL-03, a wide-angle correction lens, and subsequently launched the AOI UCL-03, a close-focus lens. These lenses enable users to achieve results previously unheard of with action cameras. Both lenses work seamlessly with an adapter that employs the AOI Quick Release System (QRS), providing a safe and speedy means of removing or installing the lenses. The initial adapter, designed to work with original GoPro protective housing and AOI lenses, proved to be a resounding success.
Building on this success, we are excited to announce that starting this August, AOI will begin shipping the QRS-02-MB3 for DJI Osmo Action 4 or 3 and the QRS-02-MB4 for Insta360 Ace or Ace Pro. Users of these cameras will now be able to experience the benefits of the AOI UWL-03 and AOI UCL-03. These adapters are designed to work with the original protective housing offered by the brands, not aftermarket products.
