During the post-match presentation, Kuldeep acknowledged the tense nature of the match, especially when it went down to the last over.He said, “Happy to get the win. These two points are very important. Amazing game. When we went into the last over, knew it was going to be very tight. We had a plan, coach and captain wanted one over when Tewatia came into bat. Luckily it worked out.”
Kuldeep also shared his approach to bowling, stating that he focused on maintaining his lines and lengths while observing the batsmen’s intentions.
“I didn’t want to try too much when I came into bowl. I Just focused on my lines and lengths and saw what the batters were trying to do. (On Tewatia’s wicket) I bowled a few balls into the wicket to him, thought he might slog-sweep, it was a good plan from the keeper, and we got the wicket,” the 29-year-old chinaman added.
The match began with Gujarat winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Despite a promising start from the DC openers, the team found themselves at 44/3. However, Axar Patel (66) and Rishabh Pant mounted a comeback, with Pant finishing unbeaten on 88 off 43 balls, leading DC to a total of 224/4.

In response, GT lost their skipper early, but Wriddhiman Saha (39) and Sai Sudarshan (65) formed a solid partnership. Although David Miller (55), Sai Kishore (13), and Rashid Khan (21*) applied pressure on the DC bowlers, the hosts managed to restrict GT to 220/8, securing a narrow 4-run victory.
Following this result, both DC and GT find themselves in the middle of the points table with four wins and five losses each, accumulating eight points. However, DC holds the sixth spot due to a superior net run rate compared to GT, who occupies the seventh position.
