On the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Aamir Khan shared interesting stories from his personal and professional journey. Comedian Kapil Sharma has shared behind-the-scenes clips, showcasing Khan discussing his minimalist approach to maintaining his appearance.
When someone praised his youthful looks at 59, the actor gave credit to his dad’s good genes, saying, “Abba jaan’s genes were good and I don’t deserve any credit in this.I don’t workout and I don’t even apply any cream on my face. In fact, I got to know what a shampoo is when I became an actor, otherwise I used to use soap for everything. I don’t do a single thing to make myself look good. When a film comes, I work on my body for that film. I am very lazy. I don’t do anything.”
Aamir also revealed his initial hesitations about portraying the character of Rancho in the film ‘3 Idiots‘ and said, “I was hesitant to do ‘3 Idiots’ because I thought people would laugh at me for playing an 18-year-old boy at my age. It seemed odd to me. I suggested director Rajkumar Hirani to cast younger actors, but he insisted on having me. Although I admired Raju (Hirani) and his work, I had reservations about playing such a youthful character.”
Last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir will soon start work on ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. He is also producing ‘Lahore, 1947’, which stars Sunny Deol in the lead role.
