Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic song, ‘I Am The Best’ from ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani,’ is one of the most outstanding compositions ever. Abhijeet Bhattacharya was the singer of this track, and he has now revealed that SRK was hesitant to sing the last portion of the song.

He suggested that the veteran lyricist call Shah Rukh Khan to sing a few lines in the track. Shah Rukh, who was in Bombay, arrived at the recording studio within 45 minutes.

But according to Abhijeet, SRK was hesitant. King Khan said that he didn’t know anything about singing and didn’t want to sing. They convinced him by saying that he had to sing the last few lines of the song. Abhijeet added that SRK humorously told him, ‘I will do better than you.’
The singer sang in two distinct voices without pausing. Initially met with skepticism by the team, Javed Akhtar insisted on keeping this improvisation, including the memorable line, ‘Arey bhai waah ye toh hit hai…’.
