Accenture Unveils New Flexible Leave Policy, Providing Employees with the Freedom to Take Extended or Short-Term Time Off. Learn More Inside.

Accenture is introducing a new leave policy for its employees in India, starting from September 1, 2023. The aim of this new policy is to provide employees with greater flexibility and a range of leave options to meet their individual needs. The policy includes three categories of leave: earned leaves, sick and wellness leaves, and casual leaves. While earned and sick leaves were already part of the previous policy, the addition of casual leaves is a significant change. The number of earned leaves has been reduced from 24 to 18, while the number of casual and sick leave days has been increased to 12. The leave year will run from September 1 to August 31, and employees in different cities will have varying amounts of annual leave. The policy also allows for a higher carry-forward allowance for earned leave, allowing employees to carry forward up to 45 days. However, prior approval from a manager is required for more than two consecutive days of casual leave, and unauthorized or unnotified leaves may result in disciplinary actions.
