McDonald’s Australia has confirmed the release of an all-new menu item, as well as the return of two fan favourite burgers.
Available from Wednesday, August 2, the Macca’s new Cheesy range will make an exciting return to restaurants across Australia.
Included in the menu additions is the brand new Cheesy Angus, along with the returning Cheesy Chicken and Cheesy Beef burgers (see full descriptions below).

All burgers feature a decadent melting mozzarella cheese patty, made with Australian milk.
“Our winter menu is all about great tasting winter indulgence, and it doesn’t get much better than a cheesy twist on Macca’s iconic flavours,” Senior Brand Manager for McDonald’s Australia Liz Whitbread said.
“Starring a crispy, golden patty filled with melting cheese, combined with 100% Aussie beef or 100% Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken, the Cheesy range brings a delicious addition to our winter menu.
“Our last Cheesy range was a huge hit, so if the chilly season has kicked your cheese cravings into overdrive, make sure to head to your local Macca’s before it’s too late!”
McDonald’s new Cheesy range is available in Macca’s restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery for a limited time only.
The new Cheesy menu items are available alongside existing winter fan favourites, including Mozarella Sticks with Tomato Chilli Jam, Raspberry and Custard Pie and Raspberry and Custard Pie McFlurry.

The new menu items include:
- Cheesy Angus, NEW: 100 per cent Aussie Angus juicy beef patty, rasher bacon, golden cheesy patty, Aussie Jack cheese, tomato, lettuce, McChicken sauce and tomato chilli jam – served on a gourmet bun.
- Cheesy Chicken, RETURNING: Crispy 100% Aussie, RSPCA Approved chicken, golden cheesy patty, Aussie Jack cheese, lettuce, McChicken sauce and tomato chilli jam – served on a soft bun.
- Cheesy Beef, RETURNING: 100% Aussie beef patty, golden cheesy patty, Aussie Jack cheese, lettuce, McChicken sauce and tomato chilli jam – served on a soft bun.
