Actress Loses 23kg by Cutting Out Sugar and Fixing Meal Times

Neha Dhupia recently shared her weight loss journey and how she lost nearly 23 kgs with definite routine and plan.

Neha Dhupia, known for her bold and candidness, has never shied away from speaking her mind. Recently, the actress revealed about losing 23 kgs and embarking towards a healthier lifestyle, both professionally and personally. Dhupia is making headlines as for her incredible weight loss transformation, determination and resilience.

The 43-year-old, shared her challenges post-partum, the roller coaster of gaining and losing weight between her two pregnancies and her weight loss routine.

NEha Dhupia Share How She Lost 23 Kgs

The former ‘Roadies’ judge, explained that she had gained a lot of weight, nearly 23-25 kgs which is way beyond the typical 17 kg mark mothers tend to gain postpartum.

“After Mehr, we went into lockdown. I eventually lost the weight as we were at home and I could work on a deficit (diet). I lost that weight, but then I got pregnant again,” she said speaking with Hindustan Times. “I still haven’t reached exactly where I wanted to in terms of my weight and inch size, but I am sure I will get there in the near future,” she added.

Speaking about her weight loss regimen, Dhupia shared that major focus was on eating habits and balanced exercises. She did not opt for proper calorie deficits because as a working mother of two, she needs to have the energy to navigate through it all.

Further she revealed that she had cut out sugar, fried food and gluten. She would occasionally go to the gym. Having a nutrient-rich balanced diet is essential for a fit routine. She also added about adhering to fixed meal timing. Neha eats dinner with her kids by 7 pm and breakfast with her husband Angad Bedi by 11 am.

When we take a healthy outlook to life and take that step for ourselves to improve our quality of living, life seems to take a positive turn. Maintaining a healthy weight can help in reducing risk of several health issues. And once a person is on a proper diet and exercise routine, there seems to be a breath of fresh air all around.

Similarly, Neha revealed how this transformation also affected her professional world. ‘Bad News’ actress says,”I feel so much better, especially in a profession where physical appearance matters a great deal. But, I have always embraced who I am Professionally, I’ve noticed an increase in offers now, and I feel and look better in my clothes.”

She reflected how her mental health i also tied with her physical health and after losing significant weight, she is in  a better headspace too, especially when it comes to her children.

On the professional front Neha Dhupia will be next seen in ‘Bad News’ featuring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk.
