The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has entered into partnership with the Jio Institute for Faculty Development Programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science. This collaborative endeavour is being initiated under the ambit of AICTE‘s ATAL (AICTE Training and Learning) programme, which is designed to upskill and reskill Faculty members from AICTE-approved institutions.
The joint effort seeks to empower academic leaders and senior faculty members with a comprehensive grasp of AI and Data Science, while also underscoring the ethical implications of employing AI tools for immersive learning. This program will deliver rigorous training to 40 chosen members of AICTE, encompassing faculty as well.
What is the objective of this partnership
The main objective of the program is to provide participants with a deep understanding of creating impactful teaching and learning settings, a particularly crucial endeavor considering the increasing influence of AI-powered knowledge and exploration. Encompassing an array of subjects such as Data Visualization, Natural Language Processing, Time Series & Optimization, Applications, Generative AI, and Large Language Models, the curriculum will explore the extensive ramifications of AI and data sciences in fields spanning science, engineering, healthcare, and liberal arts. Moreover, the program will delve into emerging prospects within the ever-evolving technological domain.
“This partnership with Jio Institute exemplifies our commitment to nurturing cutting-edge education that equips our Faculty members for future challenges. It enables us to provide educators with the necessary skills to navigate intricate educational landscapes, thereby emphasizing our resolve towards academic excellence,” affirmed AICTE Chairman, Prof T.G. Sitharaman.
The programme will culminate on August 25 with an enlightening discussion on the application of AI in arts and heritage, followed by a visit to the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre and other significant heritage sites in South Mumbai.
