Bollywood actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari are set for their big return to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year.
The two actresses, who are the face of an international beauty brand, will be among the many stars hitting the red carpet of the 77th edition of the glitzy event on the French Riviera.
While Ash has been a regular on the Cannes red carpet, Aditi made her debut at the event in 2022.In a statement, Aditi, who is in the news for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Heeramandi‘, expressed her excitement about the upcoming festival stating, “I strongly advocate that women should confidently embrace their unique selves… It is an honour to be aligned with a brand that has consistently championed the cause of women’s empowerment.”The Cannes Film Festival will bring together the industry’s biggest stars in southern France next week to celebrate cinema, with Hollywood stars including George Lucas, Meryl Streep and Demi Moore expected to grace the red carpet.
This year’s festival is packed full of premieres, star-studded press conferences and glamorous parties. The starry event begins on May 14 with the French-language comedy ‘The Second Act’ by director Quentin Dupieux starring Lea Seydoux and Vincent London. The festival runs until May 25.

This year, there are two honorary Palme d’Or winners- George Lucas of ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Indiana Jones’ fame, and Japanese animation legend Studio Ghibli.
Other awards include the top prize Golden Palm, Grand Prix, Jury Prize, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Short film.
