In the upcoming film ‘Jigra‘, Alia Bhatt transforms into a warrior. This highly anticipated movie, which completed filming earlier this year, was initially scheduled for a September 27, 2024 release. However, the release date has been postponed by two weeks, and ‘Jigra’ will now premiere in theaters on October 11, 2024.
Vasan Bala, known for his neo-noir action films like ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, directs ‘Jigra’, which promises a thrilling experience.Dharma Productions announced on Thursday that Jigra, featuring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, will hit cinemas on October 11, 2024, with the tagline, “A fierce journey to protect your own…your jigra!”
Vedang Raina, a newcomer in the industry known for his debut in ‘The Archies’, is set to star opposite Alia Bhatt in ‘Jigra’. Speculation surrounds his role, with some reports hinting he might portray Bhatt’s brother in the film, although official confirmation on their characters’ relationship is still pending.
Alia Bhatt’s involvement in ‘Jigra’ is not just limited to her role as the lead actress, she is also co-producing the film under her banner, alongside Dharma Productions. This marks Bhatt’s second stint in production, following her film ‘Darlings’.
Apart from ‘Jigra’, Alia Bhatt will feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Love & War’ and an untitled film in the YRF Spy Universe. Alia tied the knot with actor Ranbir Kapoor in 2022 and welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, later that year. They revealed Raha’s face for the first time on Christmas last year.
