All-new 2023 Hyundai Verna launched at Rs 10.89 lakh: Price, variants, features

Hyundai Motor India today finally launched its new-gen Verna sedan in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec SX (O) 7DCT variant is priced at Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The company says that the new-gen Verna has received 8,000 bookings already. Customers can book the new-gen Hyundai Verna at an initial amount of Rs 25,000 online or at authorised dealerships.

2023 Hyundai Verna: Dimensions
The new Hyundai Verna is bigger than its predecessor with a width of 1,765mm and a wheelbase of 2,670mm. It measures 4,535mm in length and 1,475mm in height. The 2023 Hyundai Verna gets a boot space of 528 litres.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Colour options
In terms of exterior, the all-new Hyundai Verna will be available in 7 single-tone colour options and 2 dual-tone colour options. Moving to the interior colour options, the 2023 Hyundai Verna will be offered in Black and Beige and Black and Red (higher variants).
2023 Hyundai Verna: Design
The all-new Hyundai Verna will be based on Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language used by the manufacturer for its cars globally. At the front, the new-gen Verna will be equipped with a split-headlamp setup, a parametric jewel grille and a full-width LED DRL strip separating the bonnet and front bumper. The side profile is flanked by strong character lines and R16 diamond cut alloy wheels.
Moving on to the rear, the sedan gets H-shaped connected tail-lamps with an LED light bar that runs across the width. Moreover, the rear features a dual-tone bumper and Verna logo is embedded in the tail-lamp only.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Interior
The new Verna features a dual-tone Black and Beige interior theme on the lower and mid variants, while the higher variants will don Black and Red interior theme. On the inside, the 2023 Hyundai Verna will come equipped with a dual-screen setup that includes a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 64-colour ambient lighting, power adjustable driver’s seat and ventilated front seats. Other key features include a switchable type controller with dual functions, an electric sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system and BlueLink connected car technology with 65+ connected features. It gets three drive modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Safety
The 2023 Hyundai Verna gets 65+ overall safety features, including 30 standard features. The sedan gets Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Safe Exit Warning and more. Other safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, traction control, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors and so on.

2023 Hyundai Verna: Engine
Under the hood, powering the 2023 Verna is a RDE and E20 compliant 1.5-litre NA petrol engine making 115 PS and 144 Nm as before, along with a new RDE and E20 compliant 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that puts out 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is on offer with the sedan as standard, while the latter receives an optional 7-speed DCT too. Moreover, the naturally aspirated petrol engine gets an optional CVT. No diesel engine will be on offer with the new-gen Verna.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Mileage
The 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.60 kmpl (MT) and 19.60 kmpl (IVT). The new 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol engine delivers a mileage of 20 kmpl (MT) and 20.60 kmpl (DCT).
