Start your engines people, because RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is back for round 8. The show—which airs new episodes each Friday on Paramount+—has brought back 12 Drag Race ~illuminati~ to compete for a cash prize of $200,000 plus entrance into the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame.

The returning competitors include Alexis Michelle (season 9), Heidi N Closet (season 12), Jaymes Mansfield (season 9), Jessica Wild (season 2), Jimbo (Canada’s Drag Race season 1 + U.K. vs. the World), Kahanna Montrese (season 11), Kandy Muse (season 13), LaLa Ri (season 13), Darienne Lake (season 6), Mrs. Kasha Davis (season 7), Naysha Lopez (season 8), and Monica Beverly Hillz (season 5).

Each week, RuPaul declares one queen a winner and they then go up against a secret “lip sync assassin” in a performance. If the contestant wins, they get $10,000 (plus any money leftover from the previous week) and the ability to eliminate one of the bottom queens previously determined by the judges. If the lip sync assassin wins, then a group vote determines which of the bottom queens is eliminated and the $10,o00 rolls over to the next week.

But wait, there’s a twist…

RuPaul debuted a twist called “The Fame Games” in episode 1 that will see an eliminated queen take home $50,000 at the end of the season after being crowned “Queen of the Fame Games.”

Here’s how it works: Every week on Untucked, the eliminated contestants will have the opportunity to show the runway looks they would have worn had they stayed in the competition. Fans will ultimately vote on their favorites, and in the end, one eliminated queen will become Queen of the Fame Games. 👑

Everyone left in the game

Here are the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 contestants still in it to win it:

  • Alexis Michelle
  • Heidi N Closet

  • LaLa Ri
