AMY Robach has revealed she’s worried that her BFF Sara Haines will get axed from her gig on The View over their friendship.
The former Good Morning America 3 co-host opened up about their close bond on Tuesday’s episode of her new podcast, Amy & TJ, with co-host and boyfriend, TJ Holmes.
Amy and TJ’s podcast dropped on Tuesday, and the couple explained all that had transpired over the last year following their firing from GMA3 over their secret romance.
The duo co-hosted the talk show until news leaked of their “affair,” causing ABC executives to give them the boot for being, what they recalled, a “distraction” to viewers.
Toward the end of the episode, Amy, 50, praised her good friend, Sara, 46, for consistently “checking in” on her after the scandal broke.
“You know who your friends are, and you definitely find out who your friends aren’t in these types of moments,” Amy said before specifically mentioning The View co-host.
“One of the people who just started and wouldn’t stop texting me even when I didn’t respond, Sara Haines.
“She was an absolute pleasure. She said, ‘I’m gonna keep texting you. I’m gonna keep checking in on you. No matter what,'” the ex-TV star gushed.
“They’re probably going to fire her after this airs,” TJ, 46, laughed.
Amy agreed, confessing that she feared Sara could face repercussions from ABC for supporting her.

“I know, that’s what I was afraid of. I’m like, I think it’s positive, but maybe it won’t be positive for her. You also worry about, like, I don’t know, being connected to us may somehow bring you down, so I don’t want to necessarily do that, but she was incredible,” Amy boasted.
“She and I have been friends for 15 years. We go all the way back to NBC, and she just – and honestly, someone who still works at that network to keep checking in, to keep calling, to actually be seen in public with me, that is a statement.
“That is something. That does show incredible support,” Amy added.
Sara previously worked as a correspondent of NBC’s Today and GMA before landing her seat on The View panel.
STANDING BY AMY
During an Instagram Q&A on Thursday, Sara revealed where her relationship with Amy stands in lieu of the drama.
“Are you still friends with Amy Robach?” one fan asked the daytime TV star, to which she replied, “Abso-friggin-lutely!!!”
Sara added a heart emoji and a smiling face with hearts emoji, seemingly emphasizing that nothing has changed between the besties.
The Chase host shared her feelings about Amy and TJ’s relationship on The View in January.
It happened while the panel discussed infidelity, and her co-host, Joy Behar, 81, brought up the ex-GMA hosts.
“If you can live with yourself for that, and it’s a one-time fling or something like that, I’m sure there are ways you can get around,” Sara shared.
“But the most important thing is if you start to fall in love with people and you change how you are at home.
“The example you set (becomes) your kids understanding of how to love someone.”
Amy is a mother of two daughters, Ava, 21, and Annalise, 17, with her ex-husband, Tim McIntosh, 58.
She was married to Melrose Place alum Andrew Shue, 56, when her relationship with TJ was revealed, but they have since finalized their divorce.
TJ shares a 10-year-old daughter, Sabine, with his ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, 46, with whom he reached a divorce settlement in October.
