Anand Mahindra offers to gift Thar to cricketer Sarfaraz Khan’s father |

Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, has once again touched the hearts of his fans, with a generous offer to Naushad Khad, the father of young cricketer Sarfaraz Khan. Following Sarfaraz’s impressive Test debut against England, Mahindra took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account to express his admiration for the hard work, courage, and patience shown by Naushad in supporting his son’s cricketing dreams.
““Himmat nahin chodna, bas!” Hard work. Courage. Patience. What better qualities than those for a father to inspire in a child? For being an inspirational parent, it would be my privilege & honour if Naushad Khan would accept the gift of a Thar,” wrote Mahindra.

Sarfaraz, known for his prolific run-scoring in domestic cricket, finally earned his Test call-up after years of perseverance. His emotional debut was marked by fifties in both innings, including 62 and 68 not-out.

On the other hand, Mahindra has been known to offer his SUVs to several athletes who have represented India. Speaking of the Thar, it is one of the most popular off-roader currently available in India. The SUV, due to its robust capabilities, dominant road presence, has become one of the fan-favourites in the Indian passenger vehicle market and comes with at least a waiting period of 6-7 months.
The Mahindra Thar gets three engine options, including a 2.0-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre, 2.2-litre diesel engine options. It is also available in RWD and 4WD configurations. The starting price for the model in India is Rs 11.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
