Director Anil Sharma, who is currently enjoying the success of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2, recently opened up about making veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Aditya Pancholi wear bikinis in his 1992 film Tahalka.
Recalling the time, Anil told Bollywood Thikana that people were shocked and went crazy after they saw Naseeruddin in a bikini.He said that people still ask him how did he convince Naseeruddin to wear a bikini.
He then went on to share what Naseeruddin had told him about wearing the clothing. “Naseer said, ‘When you can make me wear a torn kurta, I don’t ask any questions. When you ask me to wear a bikini, why would I say ‘no’? I am not wearing it in real life’,” Anil shared.
Not long ago, Anil had requested Naseeruddin to watch Gadar 2 before calling his film ‘disturbing.’ He had mentioned that Gadar 2 is a proper masala film which people have been watching for years. He also believed that Naseeruddin will change his statement after watching the film.
In his recent interview, Naseeruddin had said that the more jingoist you are, the more popular you become and this is what has been ruling this country. He had mentioned that he hasn’t seen The Kashmir Files, The Kerala Story and Gadar 2 but he knows what they are about.
