In ‘Animal,’ the tumultuous relationship between Ranvijay Singh (played by Ranbir Kapoor) and his father Balbir Singh (portrayed by Anil Kapoor) unfolds in a violent world. Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist, Abrar Haque, a character of Muslim descent. Regarding the criticism of alleged Islamophobia in the film, Saurabh commented, “We believed it fit logically within the script… Now we’re realizing there’s this perspective as well. However, both the hero (Ranbir) and the villain (Bobby) are portrayed as equally flawed. Despite being Hindu, the hero isn’t exempt from negative portrayal.”

Saurabh also acknowledged a broader issue concerning the portrayal of communities in recent films. He emphasized the importance of having a discussion about this matter on a broader scale.
