Ather 450S display
The new FallSafe™ feature in Ather 450S and 450X can detect changes in the scooter’s speed and acceleration when the rider is about to fall over. This feature switches off the motor and activates flashing indicator lights to notify those around to step forward to rescue the rider. Additionally, the electric scooters get an ‘Emergency Stop Signal’ in the Indian market for the first time, claims Ather. This feature works when the user brakes at a speed of over 50kmph, and brake lights blink to give riders behind a visual cue/ warning.
Ather 450S also sports a coasting regen feature that slows the vehicle down while at a steady coast (no acceleration and no manual braking) and recycles the energy back into the battery. The brand claims that this will result in an improved range of up to 7%, depending on modes.
