Audi Q8 E-Tron: Audi Q8 e-tron launched in India at Rs 1.14 crore: Price, specs, features

German car manufacturer today finally launched the Audi Q8 e-tron in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.14 crore (ex-showroom). The Q8 e-tron will be available as an SUV and SportBack and both body styles will be available in the 50 and 55 trims. Bookings have already been commenced at an initial amount of Rs 5 lakh. Audi is offering a 7-year extended warranty, 10-year Road Side Assistance and an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty with the new Q8 e-tron.

Audi Q8 e-tron: Colour options
Audi is offering the Q8 e-tron in nine exterior paint schemes, including Glacier White, Magnet Grey, Chronos Grey, Soneira Red, Siam Biege, Mythos Black, Plasma Blue, Manhattan Grey, and Madiera Brown.
Audi Q8 e-tron: Exterior
Starting with the design, the Audi Q8 e-tron will come equipped with a black colour redesigned grille extending beneath the LED headlamps, LED DRLs, Audi’s new monochrome 2D logo and a downward projecting light bar positioned above the front grille.

At the side, the Q8 e-tron is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and the B-pillar highlights the ‘Q8 e-tron Quattro’ lettering. The rear profile of the Audi Q8 e-tron gets H-shaped LED tail lamps, a roof-mounted stop lamp and an LED bar running across the width of the car. Furthermore, it gets ‘Q8’ badging over the tailgate and chunkier rear bumper.

The electric SUV gets 226 mm max ground clearance with raise mode. These cars feature e-quattro all-wheel drive system with three modes: Auto, Dynamic and Off-road.
Audi Q8 e-tron: Interior

Inside the cabin, the Audi Q8 e-tron gets an array of features, such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, heated/ventilated front seats with a massage function, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, a 360-degree camera with Park Assist Plus and a Bang and Olufsen 16-speaker sound system. Additionally, the Q8 e-tron is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, 30-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging and power adjustable front passenger seats with memory function and 4-way lumbar support.
In terms of interior, the Audi Q8 e-tron gets three color options – Okapi Brown, Pearl Beige and Black. Valcona & Milano leather seat upholstery and the leather & leatherette combination upholstery are also available.

Audi Q8 e-tron: Powertrain and specs
The Q8 e-tron 50 uses a 95 kWh battery, coupled with a dual-motor setup. The electric motors produce a peak power of 340 hp and 664 Nm torque with Boost mode. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6 seconds. Coming to the Audi Q8 e-tron 55, it sources power from a 114 kWh battery and a dual-motor setup. The motors generate a power output of 408 hp and a max torque of 664 Nm with Boost mode. The Audi Q8 e-tron can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 5.6 seconds. The electric SUV gets Audi Drive Select with adaptive air suspension and e-Quattro all-wheel-drive.
The Audi Q8 e-tron 50 and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron 50 offer a WLTP-certified range of up to 491 km and 505 km on a single charge, respectively. Speaking of the Audi Q8 e-tron 55 and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron 55, the electric SUVs offer a range (WLTP-certified) of up to 582 km and 600 km respectively.
Audi is offering the Q8 e-tron with a 11 kW and 22 kW AC chargers. The battery can be juiced up fully in around 8.5 hours/4.5 hours using an 11 kW/22 kW AC charger. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10-80% in just 31 minutes.
Audi Q8 e-tron: Safety features
Safety suite of the Audi Q8 e-tron consist of eight airbags, lane departure warning, tyre pressure monitoring system, Anti-theft wheels bolts, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more. Audi pre-sense basic initiates preventive measures in the event of emergency braking or handling on the limit.
