He states, “The quotes suggesting a ‘live-in relationship’ mentioned in connection with my book ‘Rekha The Untold Story’ are completely false and misleading, seemingly intended to generate sensation.
I strongly assert that the quotes mentioned in the media articles are not present anywhere in my book. Furthermore, _*the phrases ‘live-in relationship,’ ‘hermetic existence,’ or ‘the biography claiming the relationship is sexual’ have never been used throughout the entire manuscript. *_These incorrect quotes are a result of sensationalized journalism and continue to resurface every few years. If these quotes attributed to me or my book ‘Rekha The Untold Story’ are not promptly corrected, we will not hesitate to take legal action against the responsible publications.”
Earlier reports quoted the book as saying, “Farzana is the perfect partner for Rekha. She serves as her consultant, friend, and supporter, and Rekha simply cannot imagine her life without her. In fact, only Rekha’s trusted secretary Farzana — who some claim is her lover — is allowed inside her bedroom; not even domestic help are granted entry.”
According to reports, the book also alleges that Farzana was the reason behind the suicide of Rekha’s late husband, Mukesh Aggarwal, a businessman based in Delhi. In 1990, he took his own life while Rekha was in London. He left a suicide note stating that he did not hold anyone, especially Rekha, responsible for his tragic end.
