Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s journey at the box office has been very turbulent, despite being an Eid release, the film failed to create magic at the box office. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan garnered Rs 49.9 crore in the extended first week and Rs 8.6 crore in the second, and in the third week it was able to earn only Rs 3.9 crore, taking its three week total to Rs 62.40 crore. And on the first of its fourth week, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan earned only Rs 30 lakh, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. This is the lowest amount the film has collected till date. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 62.70 crore. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan still needs to make substantial progress to offset its losses.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was backed by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film has been able to continue a long run in theatres because of lack of big ticket Hindi films. The only notable big release is next week’s Srikanth starring Rajkummar Rao. The film is a biopic based on the life of visually challenged businessman Srikanth Bolla.
Despite the debacle of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay has a long list of films lined up for release, namely Housefull 5, Welcome to the Jungle, Sky Force and The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair.
