A recent tweet claimed that the on-road price of the bike is Rs 3,38,598, higher than the ex-showroom price of Rs 2.33 lakh. This sparked controversy among potential Bajaj customers nationwide.
Bajaj-Triumph has now released an official statement, stating, “At Bajaj Auto Ltd., we are committed to transparency, including pricing. We request our customers and the media to ignore the rumors circulating on various public and social media platforms regarding the on-road pricing of the new Triumph Speed 400. No on-road price guidelines have been released yet, but they will align with our other products and industry standards. We will announce this by July 10th.”
According to the statement from Bajaj-Triumph, “The Speed 400 has been launched at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.23 lakh in Delhi for the first 10,000 customers, after which it will be sold at the regular ex-showroom price of INR 2.33 lakh. State-specific ex-showroom and on-road prices will be announced closer to the delivery date.”
This new bike is a collaborative effort between Bajaj Auto and the iconic British motorcycle brand Triumph.
