Bayern Munich winger Jamal Musiala had another solid season at Bayern Munich and recently spoke about what home means to him per Sports Illustrated Germany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
“My home is where my family is. Without them I would not be where I am today. We have a good connection and I do everything I can to ensure that they can also lead a pleasant, happy life,” Musiala said.
Musiala seems to be a mature young man! He added how he feels about friends as well.
“I have always been someone who has a rather small circle of friends. It consists mainly of the people I grew up with — I am in contact with them. Phonzy (Alphonso Davies) and Leroy (Sané) from the team have become friends over time, otherwise not many people have joined from outside. Also because there is simply no time for that.
Musiala is a hard worker who always has to meet high standards. That does not mean that he does not love the beautiful game!
“I’m happiest on the pitch, I feel free and just enjoy playing. Every time I step on the pitch I see the opportunity to get better. I take something away with me every time – it’s a bit of an extra motivation. But the fun and joy I felt playing football as a kid are still there,” Musiala said.
It is definitely refreshing to hear that young Musiala still finds joy in the game despite the enormous pressure on him.
