The brand behind a mattress voted “Product of the Year” in Australia has released its most affordable offering yet.
Since launching in 2015, Koala has made a name for itself for its “game-changing” mattresses in a box – which makes it easier than ever before to get great quality sleep for a reasonable price.

Now, Koala has released its cheapest mattress yet – the SE Mattress – which starts from just $575.
The mattress boasts many of the features included in the original Koala design, including its famous “Kloudcell” technology – which is known for its superior support, breathability, responsiveness and durability.
Koala describes the technology as the “closest experience to sleeping on a cloud that you can have”.
Not only this, but the SE Mattress also has three-zone support, is ‘zero disturbance’ – meaning it’s built to isolate motion so you sleep soundly no matter who you’re lying next to – and it includes antimicrobial bamboo charcoal as an ingredient to help support a good night’s sleep.
Its soothing fabric absorbs and releases moisture in order to make nodding off “a breeze”.
“The SE Mattress is champagne sleep on a beer budget. It’s extra plush without the extra pay,” VP of Product Design, James Whitta, said.
“At a time when premium furniture options are skyrocketing in price and affordability has never been more important, our SE launch is a commitment to our customers that we will offer the highest quality products at the best possible prices.”
Prices for the SE Mattress start from just $575 for a single. A double will set you back $675, while a queen is $800 and a king is $995.
The mattress also comes with free standard delivery Australia-wide, a 120-day trial and an impressive 10-year warranty.
Koala has become synonymous with mattresses since it launched in 2015.
The company was so-named as the founders adopt a koala in partnership with Port Macquarie’s Koala Hospital for every mattress purchased.
While the friends hoped to raise $5 million in the first year, they surpassed this hugely and turned over $13 million.
The company is now reportedly valued at $500 million.
