Best art prints Australia: The touching secret behind each one of these stylish beach prints

Shoppers are rushing to snap up stylish surf life saving club prints from across Australia, after realising the touching secret behind each and every one of the more than 300 prints.

Dave and Ed Liston, who are the co-founders of Incognito Art Show, launched Clubbies Prints during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 as a way to give back to the communities they missed most.

Now, they have hundreds of art prints inspired by surf lifesaving clubs across Australia, from Albany to Yamba – and everywhere in between.

But the difference between Clubbies Prints and your everyday print is that, with every purchase, Clubbies gives $5 to the SLSC associated with that print.

So, for example, for every Bondi print that is sold, Clubbies donates $5 to Bondi Surf Life Saving Club.

Each of the prints is different, made in Australia and designed with non-toxic, water-based inks.

They feature a circle that is then detailed with the respective club’s colours.

So, for example, Copacabana on the NSW Central Coast is blue and red, while Sydney’s Newport is bright yellow and pink.

The prints measure 50 x 70 centimetres and start at $179, unframed.

You can choose whether you want to add a black, white or oak frame to your order.

According to co-founder, Dave, Clubbies was started with one major idea.

“We started Clubbies Prints and Incognito when we recognised that Australians needed more options for affordable art, that spoke to them on an individual level and, of course, was of high quality,” he told 7Life.

“By donating to Surf Clubs, Clubbies supports the great job they do in our community and recognises the valuable contribution they make to Australian culture.

“We also think the prints look great and allow people to celebrate ‘their beach’, wherever they reside in the world.”

Dave, for instance, has three distinct favourites: Yamba, where his family has always holidayed; North Bondi, where he lives; and Portsea, where he proposed to his wife.

“People have different relationships with different beaches,” he added.

“We get people from all over the world ordering different beaches, often to beach towns or suburbs that don’t match the print.

“People have an incredible connection to ‘their beach’ and really connect to that via Clubbies.”

Clubbies is currently offering a deal whereby if you buy two prints, you get 15 per cent off; if you buy three prints, you get 20 per cent off; and if you buy four prints, you get 25 per cent off.
