Lululemon does activewear well all year round, but for me it really comes into its own when the temperature drops and winter is in town.
And this year is no exception, with all manner of cosy fleecy jackets, puffer jackets, vests and jumpers to invest in.
My pick of the bunch this season (and what caught my eye when I attended the recent lululemon autumn/winter showings) is the Textured Fleece Cinchable Full Zip ($229).

Currently released in the colour of the moment, courtesy of Sabrina Carpenter, Espresso, the cosy piece features double-layered pockets to keep your hands warm and your essentials close.
It also has a high neck for added coverage.
The stylish piece features a cinchable hem, comfortable loose fit and it’s that rarest of pieces of clothing in that it sits exactly where you want it to on your waist — neither too low nor too high.
I’ve been living in the yet-to-be-released cream version since I got my hands on the piece, and find that it looks as good with jeans and Sambas as it does with leggings and a cap.
While the jacket is too new to have any reviews on the lululemon website, you can take my word for it.
It really is my favourite thing I’ve invested in this winter.
Elsewhere, lululemon has a series of other winter-style pieces you’re going to want to buy.
Top of many people’s list is the hugely popular Wunderpuff puffer jacket range, which has been described as “so warm it’s like wearing a duvet”.
This winter, lululemon Australia has released a number of new “Wunder Puff” styles — including the best-selling jacket in new shades, a vest, cropped vest and cropped jacket.
But it’s the jacket that’s catching my eye the most right now.
Available in pink, cream, brown and black, the $369 down puffer jacket has a cinchable waist and hem that lets you customise the shape and keep out cold drafts.
Those who own the jacket love that it has a removable hood, as well as zippered hand pockets with a hidden phone sleeve, interior pockets and close-fitting interior cuffs that help hold in heat.
The jacket’s relaxed fit feels roomy and can be worn over larger layers.
Alternatively, you can size down if you prefer a slimmer fit.
Reviews online are glowing for the “Wunder Puff” jacket, with shoppers leaving hundreds of glowing write-ups.
“Love this jacket. Recently wore it in very wet and cold conditions for an outdoor day/night event,” one shopper wrote.
“Kept me warm and dry. Would recommend. I’m a size 4 but bought the size 2 as jacket is so warm, I have no need to layer under it.”
Another added: “Love this jacket! So warm and cosy to wear even on the coldest days.
“Especially the draw string cord to make the jacket a little more fitted around the waistline. I purchased this jacket in size 12 US/16 AUS for the winter mornings spent watching my kids playing sport.”
