BLACKPINK’s Lisa gets a shoutout from CELINE and BVLGARI CEO after her account gets banned on Weibo

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has been hitting headlines after her account was blocked from Weibo due to “violated laws, regulations and Weibo community agreement”. Following this, all mentions of BLACKPINK’s Lisa from social media accounts of luxury brands CELINE and BVLGARI were also removed from the app. Fans were shocked as they could not access her account.
However, on November 3, 2023, JC Babintook to his Instagram story, posting multiple images of Lisa, seemingly extending his support to the popular K-Pop idol.While this move was seen as a show of solidarity by some, it also raised questions about the authenticity of his actions.

JC Babin’s posts featured a collection of photographs capturing Lisa at various brand events, highlighting her role as one of the most celebrated ambassadors for the brand. In fact, he even maintained a highlight on his profile, dedicated to Lisa, showcasing her significant presence.
The official reason behind these actions remain ambiguous, but reports suggest that Lisa’s performance at the Crazy Horse show triggered this controversy and even affected celebrities who were present at the event in Paris. Complicating matters further, the official Weibo accounts of prominent actresses Angelababy and Baby Zhang now bear a notice indicating, “User accounts have been suspended due to breaches of the law and relevant regulations.”
Lisa has not yet released an official statement regarding these developments.
