The Mini Coopers: Fourth gen S and Countryman Electric

Among the two Mini Coopers BMW launched in its marque are its 4th generation Mini Cooper S hatchback which was launched globally in September last year. Though BMW offered the global market EV and ICE options in this model, its Indian market is currently receiving only the ICE choice.

Inside, the car boosts a round display which serves as both an infotainment system as well as an instrument cluster, managing almost all in-car controls. Moreover, as compared to the older version, the interior has been given a more minimalistic look.

The car utilizes the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine seen in its predecessor. It now boasts improved figures of 201 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, marking a notable increase of 26 bhp and 20 Nm respectively. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, enabling the Cooper S to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds.

Second on the Mini Cooper list is the Countryman Electric with a radically new look, available only in EV for the Indian markets at Rs 54.90 lakh (ex showroom).
